Drymen

Moving on from Balmaha the next village down ( 10 miles from lodge) is Drymen.

All the main roads through the Campsie Fells meet here and Drymen is an extremely popular visitor destination.

The village has a pretty little 18th century parish church and is the start of the Rob Roy Way, unofficial long distance footpath to Pitlochry, and the West Highland Way, reaching from Milngavie to Fort William.

Remarkably central, yet very much nestling in the stunning Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Being less than 30 minutes drive from Glasgow makes it a superb city getaway and weekend break destination.

There are 5 eating places in Drymen.
